Year 9 Humanities (Geography Unit), students have been investigating the characteristics of biomes and how they vary depending on climate. A biome is a particular geographic region that can be recognised by the plants and animal species that naturally live there. They discovered there are numerous types of biomes throughout the world, from Tropical rainforest, Temperate Forest, Desert, Tundra, Grassland, Savanna/tropical grassland. To validate their understanding students created a model of some the major biomes found in our environment.
