On Tuesday September 12 the VCE Ag/Hort and Year 9 Farm Production students travelled to Bethune Lane Dairy at Lake Boga to learn more about the dairy industry and what is involved. The students got to explore the calving shed upon arrival and even got to help catch some calves that had escaped overnight! We then drove to the dairy where Sally showed us around the equipment used to milk up to 100 cows at a time, and the vats (where the milk is stored). We would like to thank Miss Wright and Mrs Plant for driving us there and Sally and everyone at the Dairy for showing us around.
