Tyrrell College celebrated Anzac Day with a service of commemoration on Wednesday 26th April attended by our guest, Corporal Brian Taylor, Ex-Army Vet and members of the school community. The service was led by College Captains, Lily and Sophie McClelland. A big thank you to Mr. Peter Stewart and Corporal Brian Taylor (Ex-Vet) from Ouyen who attended our school service in full military uniform. Corporal Brian enlisted in the CMF/Reserves, 1974 then became a full-time soldier in the Australia Regular Army, 13th October 1976 as a mechanic (RAEME). Brian served for thirty years and was deployed all over Australia, as well as serving in East Timor from 2001-2002 and the, Solomon Islands Peace Keeping mission, 2004. A thankyou to everyone that contributed with our ANZAC Day Service.
Also, a huge thank you to Sophie McClelland and Dude Kelly in representing Tyrrell College at Sea Lake ANZAC Day Town Service, Tuesday 25th April, in which they laid a wreath on behalf of our College and read the following poem.
